The Nomadic NP7256 integrated circuit is the next generation WiMAX chipset in Wavesat’s EvolutiveTM WiMAX compliant chip family. It features 802.16d+, the IEEE Std 802.16-2004 WirelessMAN-OFDMä PHY & MAC layer protocol with enhancements as defined in the IEEE 802.16e-2005 Amendment. The NP7256 provides support for Nomadicity, Portability and Basic Mobility, as defined in the WiMAX ETWG profile for fixed WiMAX Broadband Wireless Access systems.
